Levon’s wife asked for a potato cellar, and over the next 23 years, he gave her a network of holy caves.
Levon’s Divine Underground is a story that most people do not believe. It is a magnificent place in Arinj, in Kotayk marz. In 1985, Levon’s wife came up with a request: she needed a cellar to store the potatoes. At that time, Levon saw a vision. A voice told him that one day he would be a part of a miracle, something that will change his life. So Levon decided to dig a potato cellar in the basement. That small task became a great adventure in his life. He used only hand tools, such as a hammer and chisel, and worked 16-18 hours daily with a little rest for building the cave. He worked for almost 25 years. As a result, there are seven big rooms in that underground world, all of them interconnected with stairs, creating something like a labyrinth. There is a small pavilion, where several candles are lit. According to Levon, the one who will make it to that very point should light a candle and make a wish. He believed that every wish would come true. That hidden cave is 21 meters deep and occupies a territory of 300 square meters. The most mystic thing related to that cave is that Levon passed away because of the heart attack after destroying the last wall separating the two tunnels. He died in 2008 at the age of 67. The energy in the underground and the vibes are stunning. When you visit it, you’ll realize why Levon spent all those years there; because there you feel like there is no time, no need to rush, you relax, stay alone with yourself, with your nature, and enjoy the positive energy around you.
