The goal of the “Cultural center of the East” NGO is transferring experience, providing employment and supporting future career advancement to young people. The activity of the volunteer movement is aimed at the preservation and development of Armenian culture and its publication through international dialogue.
The volunteers take part in the collection, elaboration and publication of popular materials on Armenology and oriental studies. Cultural, charitable, educational and other programs are also implemented within the framework of the volunteer movement.
The public organization “Center of Culture of the East” has been cooperating with young specialists since October 2012. Over the years, volunteers have had the opportunity to gain experience in spheres of interest to them. Much work is being done in the spheres of Armenian studies, oriental studies, cultural studies, history, art history, media, PR and SMM.
The volunteer, according to his/her preferences and professional qualities, is included in the main activities of the organization, and in accordance with the established schedule, begins to perform his/her duties, distributed by himself/herself and the organization, without indemnity.
Volunteering is unpaid work without material expectation. This form of work is very common in the world, especially among young people and students.
For many, volunteering is simply a way of self-discovery, for some it is a way to gain professional experience and find a good job in the future.
Volunteer experience is highly appreciated by both employers and educational institutions in many countries. In many universities around the world, volunteering is one of the guarantees of getting a scholarship.
