We offer an excursion to the second city of Armenia – the city of Gyumri, which is rightfully considered the cultural capital of the republic. Formerly known as Alexandropol and Leninakan.
Here you can discover the Armenian urban life during both the period of Tsarist rule and the Soviet era.
The excursion makes unique a visit to the house of the Dzitokhtsyan merchant family, which has become the Museum of Architecture and Urban Life, as well as the Museum of Spider Web Paintings. You can also visit the local brewery.
In Gyumri, there is a Russian fortress of the 19th century, as well as the “Hill of Honor” with the burial of soldiers who died in the Russian-Turkish wars.
And, of course, our surprise – a photo shoot in national costume (optional).
