As You know, there are a lot of dishes in Armenian traditional cuisine, which are prepared with oil. Our ancestors used oil either in large quantities or small ones in meals, and it gives a unique taste to them. This meal is common mainly in Artsakh and Syunik. It is prepared with mutter or chicken.
Ingredients:
Chicken – 1.5 kg
Onion- 1kg
Pomegranate (grains) – 400g
Oil – 150g
Salt (to Your taste)
Method of preparation:
First of all, it is necessary to wash the hen well, remove all the parts of it which You do not need. You can also remove the chicken skin. Add oil on the frying pan, heat it and fry the meat until it is half-baked. Oil gives a sweet taste to the meat. Cut the onion in a half-moon shape and add to the meat. You need to fry it in a low fire for about 15 minutes. Add salt, then the grains of pomegranate and fry 10 minutes. At the end You can put greens on it.
