From ancient times in the subconscious of mankind the East associated with revival and decline. The connection with sunrise gave traits of divinity and sacredness, Nomad attacks-traits of chaos. Authoritarianism and suppression of personal displays characterize the East, but in the East the person could leave material borders.

The History of the East is a history of the most ancient class societies, civilizations that possess major cultural achievements of mankind, which in turn made possible its further progress, predetermined the direction and character of this progress.

Armenia is a country in Western Asia, the motherland of Armenian people, Armenian language, geographical and cultural region where the Armenian people were shaped as a nation, the ancestral land of the Armenian Apostolic church.

Military-strategic and trading significance of the upland was one of the important reasons for many wars between major powers of the Mediterranean and Western Asia.

Full tragic events, the history of the country delayed the mark on the life and livelihoods of the Armenian people.

Today  there are two Armenian states  on the territory of historical Armenia – Republic of Armenia and not recognized  Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Arcax) which occupies only 1/10 part of the plateau.

“The Non-Governmental Organization “Cultural Center of the East” was founded in August 2009 by a group of enthusiasts interested in Oriental Culture and development of Armenian culture.

The organization aims to develop and deepen fruitful cultural cooperation between Armenia and  the countries of the East.

“Cultural Center of the East”  represents the culture of Eastern countries in Armenia as well as Armenian culture in the East.

In the framework of its activities the "Cultural Centre of the East" NGO introduces the culture of Eastern countries to Armenia. For that purpose a few Clubs (namely Indian, Japanese, Persian, Arabic etc.) were opened particularly for those interested in the culture of Eastern countries.

LANGUAGES LESSONS

“Cultural center of the East” Non-Governmental Organization holds courses of Oriental languages - Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Hindi, Chinese and Japanese. The organization also offers classes in Аrmenian for foreigners.

TRANSLATION

Specialists of the "Center of Oriental culture" NGO make oral and written translations from Oriental languages (Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Hindi, Chinese and Japanese) into Armenian and vice versa. For questions, please contact the office.
